I added a 2 GB memory module to the computer and it works fine with Vista When I removed the module, the Windows 7 64 driver loaded fine and the system didn't reboot.

It worked great. Thank you for your help. Without you causing me to think, I would have never figured it out. Hmm, weird But glad that i was able to help you out! That's what communities are for after all ; But I don't really get why it would reboot with an extra 2GB memory module added Have you tried adding it now, after you've installed everything?

Dennis Student SystemAdministrator. Hello sir i have a laptop like yours the samsung r just to ask you on how to update the bios just what you did on your laptop can you teah me please thank you. Thanks hope reply So please, re-read my first post again, then if you have questions about a certain step, I'll try and make myself more clear ; Greetings, Dennis Student SystemAdminstrator. Hello sir dennis i just want to know on how to update my bios.. The memory was a mix between Samsung and Crucial.

Individually, they were fine. Together, they were bad chemistry. I sent the Crucial stick back because they thought it was defective. When I have time, I am going to fully test the memory to see if the original Samsung memory is bad. I am also having problems with my fingerprint reader so I am suspecting that the original memory may be bad. And after you've downloaded it Though remember! Hope this helps you a bit! Simkado, That doesn't sound all to well, good luck and I hope everything will work out for you ; And that you still have warranty ; Dennis Student SystemAdminstrator.

I got a ras02 also with this problem. I wasn't sure of it's compatability with w7 64 bit but it didn't say anything on the Samsung website or support besides stating it was for Windows 7. Guess what, i opened it and it's been stuck for about an hour now. It is however still at the 'unpacking' stage so I think it won't die on me when i shut it down. Anyway I'll edit this later when I know more unless someone replies in a few minutes.

Installing W7 right now, I'll probably know more in 15 minutes. Though not to worry, as you noticed for yourself, it keeps at the unpacking stage, and can be easily killed terminated.

Going back to Vista and W7 is done in a short period of time. Thanks for pointing it out!!! I've edited it ;. Hello My name is Mathew I am having a similar problem where as I have installed "Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit" on my Samsung R Notebook and unable to well play any of my games due to well this problem.

I have tried downloading this for compatability with my current opperating system that did not work. I am unable to do a re-install of windows vista as I have lost my windows 7 disk and will be unable to re-install windows 7. Do you have any sollution to my problem Thank you Yours sincerely Mathew Ham.

Dear Mathew, Your problem, shouldn't be such a big problem. I did not re-install Windows 7 neither. All you need is an program to make an image of your current disk so that you can restore that image when you've installed the BIOS update in Vista!

Aslong as you've got your product key there's no problem with downloading the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit From the internet! Aslong as your Product key is Valid and you have your Genuine Certificate!!! Sincerely, Dennis Student SystemAdministrator. The update for my bios has a different version number than yours. Will this version solve the problem?
