All home improvement companies are the same when it comes to sales. You are as good as your last sales call. Even if you were there 10 years. You get the idea. Pros Flexible schedule. Cons 50 hour weeks at minimum. Six day work schedule. Was this review helpful? Yes There are 4 helpful reviews 4 No. Report Share.
I very much enjoy the people that I work with. They are all helpful and trying to do their best. Unfortunately the company overall is not quite a "small business" but not as organized as most corporations. It's in the middle. The processes can be very unorganized and managers don't always give the same answers when you ask a question. It's confusing and makes it hard to get your job done.
People are working from a million different places and not on the same page some of the time. Overall I enjoy the culture and there is some flexibility with the work; whether that be the option to work remotely, adjust a schedule, try things a little differently, or even move into new jobs.
I would definitely talk to the company if you're considering them. The positions aren't for everyone, but if you can meet the requirements many of the jobs pay very well. Pros The people are very welcoming and positive, pay. Cons Could be more organized, work life balance can get sketchy. Yes No. Great place to learn the sales industry. Good culture and products. Flexible schedules.
Get to meet interesting people everyday. Compensation could be better. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Cons no training, repetative work. Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No. This really is great product with amazing training and management. Really my only 2 complaints is currently not as busy as led to believe I would be but still doing good , plus no mileage reimbursement plan which is biggest complaint. Pros Great training, great management, easy to sell product.
Cons No mileage reimbursement, work life balance typical of outside sales, need more appointments. Job seekers rely on your experience. A very positive experience. Pros Great owner, great compensation. Our team was the best! My leader was phenomenal and my team was the heart and soul of the company.
Cons Customers were rude. Not at all an enjoyable experience. They run you like crazy and don't pay attention to lead locations having reps passing each other on the highway. Also if you notify them that you are resigning they won't pay you what they owe you. Just not a well run company all around. Pros Not hard work. Cons Pay and travel. Yes There are 3 helpful reviews 3 No. Their Sales tactics and strategies are sleazy per usual. Pros Fun games laid back.
Working for Universal Windows Direct was an absolute nightmare. Despite having a team that travels every week, issuing company credit cards is out of the question. Instead employees are expected to pay out of pocket and be reimbursed, however, when we try to do so we are given the excuse that accounting is simply too busy to cut a check. The same story goes for getting a per diem for travel. Communication is nonexistent and often times one manager will completely contradict another.
This is mainly due to them placing inexperienced 20 somethings in management positions. Additionally from an ethics stand point, the company treats their clients horribly. They assume customers are completely lacking in savvy and use deceitful and underhanded tactics to make a sale. Cons no communication, no reimbursement. Jobs at Universal Windows Direct. Inside Sales Representative. Office Assistant. Regional Brand Ambassador. I learned how to jumpstart a career in marketing and sales. Trade shows and door to door sales is a large part of the job.
Be prepared for hearing no from a customer a lot. Not for the thin skinned. Culture is pretty positive, but it's cut throat. You get thrown out into appointments before you know anything about what you are selling. You have to travel pretty far for appointments and you're basically on call all the time, so its nearly impossible to plan anything you need to take care of in your personal life.
The company and product are great but the work life balance is not the best. You can run up to 4 leads a day and you have no idea how many you'll run in a day. The latest I heard that I had a lead to run was 45 minutes before the appointment. The work week is Monday through Saturday and you can be working until after 9 pm so it is very hard to plan anything in your personal life.
