Try updating your chipset drivers. Worked for me. Followed directions moving my Steam installation over and it ran fine. That's not to say everyone's experience will not have hiccups. For example Farcry 2 will not put out any sound over a HDMI hookup, but it will over integrated sound. Other games have no problem. Windows 7 Gaming - 32 bit or 64 bit? The time is now. Only once you've used an operating system can you really know if it's for you. Try as we might, we're still not comfortable with Vista, while Windows 7 doesn't irk us anywhere near is much.
